Packing & Packaging

We’ll pack your items professionally to ensure they arrive at their destination in the same condition they left.

Any packing material you need – boxes, paper, tape, bubble wrap, E-Tuff, shrink wrap ,wardrobe boxes; talk to us.


Gilbert’s  has a large warehouse devoted to storage, monitored 24-7 by  a professional security agency      .
This is not public storage, so the building is locked and alarmed at all times unless we are moving items in and out.

We offer three types of storage:

Short or long term furniture storage

This is a neat option for private customers who require storage for residential overflow or as a result of moving house. Goods can be stored from a week to a year – whatever suits. A full storage inventory is supplied and checked off when storage period ends.

Having a party? Store the surplus furniture with us!

Sold your house and need to store the contents? Store the whole house-lot with us! Going overseas and need to store your household goods? Store it with us for as long as you require!

Commercial storage for retailers & importers

Designed for businesses that import and need to store excess stock. Space is available on a flexible basis depending on how much room you need. We don’t keep an inventory unless requested. This space is charged by the week and as your storage goes up and down, so does the charge.

Complete warehousing, inventory control and distribution

The complete service offered to customers who want their stock tracked from the moment we take control until the moment it’s delivered.

This service starts with us accepting containers from the wharf once MAF have completed inspections, unpacking the containers, checking the goods off against a manifest, unpacking the goods and checking for damage.

Any damage is noted and a full report, including photos, is sent to the customer within 24 hours if requested. Damaged goods can then be sent for repair if required. All other goods are inventoried into storage and an up to date inventory is sent to the customer weekly.

When sales are made, customer orders are sent to us and we arrange delivery at a suitable time. Any assembly is carried out by us.

Artwork and Antiques

Gilbert’s has extensive experience in handling all types and sizes of artwork – from Old Masters to modern sculptures, Goldies to Hammonds, Dibbles to Burgess.

Regardless of the size or condition, we have the skills to transport your artwork with care and attention.

We regularly deliver artwork around Auckland and work with leading galleries, museums and artists..

Individual Deliveries

What about when you don’t have a full load? How can you get single items of furniture moved?

Gilbert’s has a dedicated service just for you, delivering single items and small loads throughout the Auckland region.
